Yep, alot of vmware tricks today ๐Ÿ™‚

Reciepe to recompile/install vmware tools:
(Assuming you are in a terminal)

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)
<Initiate the Install/Update vmware tools on the ESX Infrastructure client>
mount /cdrom
cp -a /media/cdrom/VMwareTools*.tar.gz /tmp/
cd /tmp/
tar -vxzf VMwareTools*.tar.gz
cd vmware-tools-distrib/
sudo ./vmware-install.pl

    Hi Sรธren,

    If you for some reason needs to compile vmware tools for ubuntu 9.x on vmware 3.5 just take the vmware package from vmware 4.0 and compile ๐Ÿ™‚
